A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE PATRICK WOLF CONCERT

We regret that an incident happened during the Patrick Wolf concert on Thursday the 13th August 2009.
For this reason we would like to explain a few things here.

The city of Cologne granted us a permit to use the Offenbachplatz as an open-air concert space, on the condition that all events were to finish promptly by 22.00 h, for reasons of noise pollution in what is a residential area.

All artists were informed to these rules and conditions prior to c/o pop, verbally and in writing. The production management reminded Patrick Wolf to this on the evening of his concert from 21:10 h, every ten minutes. Therefore the artist was given sufficiant warning of the circumstances to prepare himself accordingly.

At 21:55 h Patrick Wolf was kindly reminded once again that he would only have time remaining for one last song.

The artist then announced that under no circumstances could he accept such limitations.

At 22:00 h, after Patrick Wolf finished another song we finally had to turn off the PA system, to which he reacted with verbally attacking the c/o pop technicians, and throwing two microphone stands and a piano chair at them. Luckily nobody was hurt in this incident.

Patrick Wolf’s management deeply regreted the incident and immediately apologised on his behalf.
We accepted the apology and would like to pass it on to all our guests who had to witness this unpleasant incident.

We deeply regret that while Patrick Wolf’s performance was until then very impressive, it finished with such a commotion.
