MoTA Festival pomladi (MoTA Spring Festival) is an international, multimedia, social and educational event which brings to Ljubljana a mix of urban artistic practices based on a program searching for novelties in the field of electronic music, audiovisual performances and experimental digital creation. After eight years (2010 will see the 9th installment) it is still the only international open-air festival of independent electronic music and related arts in the country.

The driving idea behind the festival is "creative socializing". Since the festival is free, it wants to offer an alternative program in an urban environment available to all the people of Ljubljana as well as to the ever growing number of foreigners. It aims to present contemporary audio-visual practices, which are often not included in the programs of other cultural institutions in Slovenia. Each year, MoTA Spring Festival invites one artist for a MoTA residency in Ljubljana. The festival takes place each year at a different location in the city, which has never been used before as a place for events.
In 2009, the festival had a special one month experimental visual and sound art program, which has evolved from Spring Festival's visual arts program into a separate event.
