IT WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR/PANEL CLIPS
A little exhausted, but delighted with what lies behind us and raring to go in 2010, we would like to thank all guests and friends of the c/o pop Convention warmly for attending in such numbers, participating with such engagement and showing such great interest in c/o pop this year. Many thanks for the discussion, elucidation and contributions, your willingness to share knowledge and inspiration, and your readiness to build networks for the future spanning national and industry borders.
Lots has already been said and written about c/o pop happenings this year. Without a doubt, 2009 was a particularly good c/o pop year. An extensive documentary of the c/o pop festival and Convention is currently being prepared.
Some parts of the c/o pop Convention were recorded in full, and one hotly contested panel is now available as video-clip on our website:
The highly controversial panel »Values 2.0 – intellectual property vs. net culture« was, for many visitors, the best of Thursday’s sessions. Lars Sobiraj (Gulli.com), Mark Chung (Freibank), Christian Hufgard (Piratenpartei), Georg Oeller (GEMA) and Stefan Herwig (Dependent / Mindbase), under the expert moderation of Johnny Haeusler (Spreeblick / re:publica), provided an intelligent exchange of views about the future of the creators of music.
A video of the music marketing panel »Live Entertainment or Advertainment« will be available shortly. Please check back soon for more.
Looking forward to seeing you next year!
