c/o pop - Festival & Convention (23 - 28 June, Cologne) and the Reeperbahn Festival (23 – 25 September, Hamburg) are to collaborate on a major scale for the first time this year.
In the course of the cooperation, the Hamburg festival will present its own showcase at this year’s c/o pop, while the team from Cologne are to develop new discussion panels which will feature at both the c/o pop Convention and the Reeperbahn Campus.

The organisers of both festivals also intend to work together to intensify their international partnerships. A special affiliation has already been established to the renowned Icelandic conference »You Are In Control« (1 – 2 October, Reykjavik). The Icelanders will present their event at both German festivals in 2010, while Reeperbahn Festival and c/o pop will organise panels and showcases at »You Are In Control«.

Cooperation between the Reeperbahn Festival and c/o pop started with a very successful joint business brunch at the Eurosonic/Norderslaag Festival in Groningen/Holland on Friday, January 15th. After a short night with a lot of great concerts, the breakfast gave a lot of people the opportunity to refresh old contacts and get in touch with new ones.

The musical focus of this year’s Eurosonic Festival was Norway, so obviously the business brunch took place to the strains of Oslo’s Bernhoft.
